What an Inspection Covers
Every Component That Matters in Humboldt’s Climate
A real inspection goes beyond what’s visible from a quick walk across shingles. We work systematically through every component that affects how your Humboldt roof performs.
Shingle condition. Granule loss patterns, cracking, curling, and impact damage that indicates previous hail exposure. Different parts of the roof age differently, and uneven wear patterns tell us where to focus.
Flashing integrity. Around chimneys, vent pipes, skylights, and roof valleys where freeze-thaw cycles cause separation over time. Flashing failures are the most common source of leaks on Humboldt homes.
Gutter system. Drainage capacity relative to West Tennessee’s annual rainfall, attachment integrity to the fascia, and downspout function during real water flow. Gutters that look clean from the ground often have issues that only show during testing.
Attic conditions. Where access allows, we check the underside of the roof deck for moisture stains, current or past leak signs, and ventilation adequacy. The interior of the attic tells us things the exterior can’t.
